Class Description
Do you have something that you always wanted to screenprint, but didn’t know how? In this one day workshop you will learn how to design efficiently and break an image down into single color layers. From there, preparing and developing the screen will allow students to make custom prints of their own. I will instruct how to screenprint on fabric, paper, board, or a number of other materials as one offs or multiples! Screens, ink, and emulsion will be provided. Students are expected to bring their own material *includes 1, 2 hour sessions of open workshop time $100 + $50 Material Fee About the instructor Leslie Diuguid (b. 1986, lives and works in Brooklyn, NY) founded Du-Good Press in 2017 where she specializes in making high quality screenprints for artists. Her practice is informed by thirteen years of work experience / apprenticeships in various NYC and Kansas City printshops where she accumulated an encyclopedic knowledge of how to print on what. She holds a BFA in Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute and teaches screen printing at The Cooper Union and Pratt in New York City. Cancellation Policy
STUDENT CLASS CANCELLATION If a student must drop out of a class, 75% of tuition will be refunded as long as MGC is notified 15 days or more prior to the start date of the class. If a student notifies MGC less than 15 days prior, no tuition can be refunded. Membership and materials fee are non-refundable.
