I am a member, but I cannot log in."We have a new website! Click on the login button and sign up. this will give you a new account on the website and enable us to set up your permissions for your account.

What are the benefits of membership?Our membership is currently on hold as we transition into our new home at Powerhouse Arts. Our members are able to book studio time during open workshop hours and receive a 10% discount on our classes. Members have access to special member events and exhibitions. MGC and the Center for Book Arts (CBA) have partnered to offer reciprocal benefits to one another's members. MGC Membership is $50 / year

How does the Keyholder membership work?Key Holder Memberships will no longer be available. We are working on new and exciting membership options as we transition into our new space at Powerhouse Arts. Key holders receive a front door key, monthly elevator code, and 24/7 access. Membership is required to be a Keyholder. Keyholder membership is billed monthly at $275/month. Applicants must complete an online orientation process before using the studio. Reservations are required at all times.

Do I have to be a member to take a class?No. All of our online and in person classes are open to members of the public.

What is your class cancellation policy?If a student must drop out of a class, 75% of tuition will be refunded as long as MGC is notified 15 days or more prior to the start date of the class. If a student notifies MGC less than 15 days prior, no tuition can be refunded. Membership and materials fee are non-refundable.

I am a member. How do I sign up for open workshop time?Current members can register for open workshop time by selecting “Booking Calendar” on the top bar of our site. You will be prompted to login or create a username. You may purchase studio time in 4 hour blocks. Once you have purchased time, you will be able to create a reservation during monitored studio hours by double clicking on the calendar.

Do I have to use the 4hr block in one visit?No. You are free to use your purchased hours in whichever increment works best for your practice.

I’m in a class. How do I use my open workshop class hours?If you are taking a class, you will receive free studio time, hours vary per class.You do not need to become a member to use your studio hours but you will need to create a free login at our website. By selecting “Booking Calendar” on the top bar of our site you will be prompted to make an account. You can create a reservation during monitored studio hours by double clicking on the calendar.

Do you sell printmaking supplies at the shop?We have a few basic items for purchase including copper plates, tarlatan, photo emulsion for screenprinting, newsprint, Rives BFK and Stonehenge papers.

What precautions is MGC taking to prevent the spread of Covid-19?COVID-19 vaccination and masks are no longer required, but strongly recommended. We encourage all visitors to wear face coverings that cover the nose and mouth throughout their visit. Stay at home if you are feeling sick Please do not visit MGC if you have a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days, or have had close contact with anyone who is confirmed or is suspected of having COVID-19.
