Liandra T. De Matas

Scholarship Work Exchange Recipient

Liandra T. De Matas is a Brooklyn born and based artist whose primary practice is printmaking. Through art she explores her experience as a first generation Trinidadian American with a colorful, bright, bold, and illustrative aesthetic influenced by island culture, kawaii, pop culture, design, and fashion. De Matas received her degree in Studio Art from Brooklyn College. In 2012 she was awarded the Thomas S. Butcher Prize in Fine Arts.
