Jeanne Betancourt
Co-Vice President

Jeanne Betancourt became a member of MGC in 2012. She was attracted to MGC because of the impressive congenial atmosphere, bright space, presses, and array of classes. She joined the board in 2017 as a way to give back to an organization that has helped her in her art practice.
Her oil paintings of fruits and vegetables illustrated Farm Stand Fresh – a cookbook written by Manuela Soares.
Jeanne has exhibited her art in group shows in New England, New York City, and the East End of Long Island. She has had solo exhibits at The South Street Gallery in Greenport, New York; and at Entrée Health and Manhattan Graphics Center in Manhattan.
Jeanne is also the author of more than 70 novels for children and young adults, among them the popular series – Pony Pals – published by Scholastic, as well as award-winning scripts for ABC Afterschool Specials.
Her printmaking includes intaglio, Japanese woodblock, and monotype. Jeanne’s current series of intaglio prints are based on plein aire drawings and paintings.
