Cyanotype is an early form of photography known for its rich blues. In this one-day workshop we will create photograms on paper (one-of-a-kind direct prints from found objects). We will also print photographs (8x10 or smaller) from negatives that we will make from our own pre-existing photos. We will expose our prints by means of artificial light in the studio and, weather permitting, in sunlight. We will learn how to tone prints - lightening and darkening, and altering the characteristic blue color. Watercolor paper and light-sensitive chemicals will be provided. No prior experience necessary.
