This is a four-day, two-week class using the Cape Fear Phoenix gelatin and digital positives. This course will help you hone your skills as a gravure plate maker and explore experimental uses of the medium. Attention will be given to gaining control of the many steps necessary to achieve a successful photogravure plate as well as refining printing techniques. The class is designed to instill confidence and independence in artists who choose to work in this wonderful 19th Century medium. This class is for students who have taken a previous introduction to photogravure workshop.
