MEMBERS' SHOWS
MGC members have a variety of opportunities to exhibit their work: group shows, portfolio shows, exchange shows, and others. In addition, members may request solo shows in the MGC gallery.

Guidelines for Solo Shows
  1. An artist must be a member for a year before asking for a show.
  2. Artists who have not had a show will get priority over someone who has already had a show or several shows.
  3. Any member can have a show. Two artists can share the space. Decisions about who gets a show will depend on how often the artist has shown; there is a limit of one show every 2 years.
  4. To cover MGC's expenses, the show will cost $150. Anyone who cannot afford that price can apply for a scholarship.
  5. A solo show can occupy the entire space (main gallery as well as side walls) if a request is made at least 6 months in advance. In this case, the show will cost $200 to cover expenses to MGC.
  6. Framing is optional.
  7. The artist is responsible for all publicity.
  8. The artist is paid directly for all sales. The artist will pay 20% of all sales proceeds to MGC as a commission.
