MGC members have a variety of opportunities to exhibit their work: group shows, portfolio shows, exchange shows, and others. In addition, members may request solo shows in the MGC gallery.Guidelines for Solo Shows
- An artist must be a member for a year before asking for a show.
- Artists who have not had a show will get priority over someone who has already had a show or several shows.
- Any member can have a show. Two artists can share the space. Decisions about who gets a show will depend on how often the artist has shown; there is a limit of one show every 2 years.
- To cover MGC's expenses, the show will cost $150. Anyone who cannot afford that price can apply for a scholarship.
- A solo show can occupy the entire space (main gallery as well as side walls) if a request is made at least 6 months in advance. In this case, the show will cost $200 to cover expenses to MGC.
- Framing is optional.
- The artist is responsible for all publicity.
- The artist is paid directly for all sales. The artist will pay 20% of all sales proceeds to MGC as a commission.
